The story of Hope City South is one of prophetic fulfillment. In December of 2019, our church family responded in faith and began looking to expand to the south side of Columbus. Through a series of supernatural events, we found a building, located in the heart of Merion Village, just 5 minutes from downtown Columbus. We knew that this was a "God moment" and by faith, we were able to purchase our currently facility. What we did not know is that COVID-19 was just around the corner! This greatly delayed our renovation efforts and the launch window for the south campus. However, we knew that the Lord had spoken and we continued to move forward by faith. It would be nearly 15 months later in April of 2021 that Hope City South was finally launched. For nearly 2 years, through the pandemic we operated a very fruitful ministry from 120 Southwood avenue. Hundreds of people heard and responded to the gospel, dozen were baptized and many received support from our monthly food-giveaways. Yet, we felt that the Lord was calling us to re-evaluate the strategy we had taken. Although things were fruitful, we felt led to take a step back for a season. This led to the closing of Hope City South in December of 2022. For about a year, as our leadership discerned what to do next, we considered all options, even selling the building at a greatly discounted price to help another church continue to serve the community. After a season of prayer and fasting, we felt it was the Lord's will to re-open Hope City South and continue the fruitful ministry that had been launched in 2021. In the meantime, extensive renovations have been underway as we prepare to RELAUNCH Hope City South, this coming Fall of 2026! We are so honored by the opportunity the Lord has provided us to continue serving our city of Columbus and the Merion Village Community.
