Accountability

Hope City Global’s leadership structure is built around the principle of distinct responsibilities, a shared mission, and mutual accountability. Episcopal oversight provides the church with spiritual leadership, vision, and direction through the Bishop. At the same time, the Bishop remains accountable to and works in partnership with the Advisory Board of Elders, which contributes to discernment, governance, and the overall stewardship of the ministry.

The church’s eldership functions as one unified leadership council expressed through three complementary areas. The Advisory Board of Elders provides governance, financial and doctrinal accountability, organizational integrity, risk management, and counsel to the Bishop and executive leaders. The Executive Leadership Team of Elders is responsible for implementing the church’s vision and strategy, leading ministries and initiatives, developing staff and leaders, overseeing organizational planning, and making operational decisions. The Shepherding Elders focus on the spiritual and pastoral care of the congregation through prayer, biblical counsel, discipleship, membership care, congregational support, and pastoral visitation.

Working alongside the elders is the Diaconate, made up of appointed ministers who provide ministry leadership, support, and practical service throughout the church. Together, the elders and ministers equip and oversee ministry teams serving in five primary areas: worship, spiritual formation, congregational care, operations, and mission. These areas include worship arts and media; discipleship, prayer, youth, and children; hospitality, connections, and community life; facilities and security; and local outreach and global missions.

The structure is designed to allow many different functions to operate as one body with one mission. Every level of leadership, from episcopal oversight and elders to ministers and ministry teams works together to see lives changed, churches multiplied, communities served, and the name of Jesus lifted high. The entire model is grounded in biblical authority, relational leadership, integrity, excellence, faithful stewardship, and a commitment to reaching both the city and the nations.
