These Tuesday afternoons are for those who desire spiritual formation and equipping in either the area of Biblical Justice, Apologetics, or Worshipping leading. Take advantage of this opportunity to grow in your faith. All classes are held in-person at Hope City Global Missions Base
Biblical Justice
Biblical Justice explores God’s heart for righteousness, mercy, and justice throughout the biblical narrative and examines how the people of God are called to embody His character in the world. Students will study the foundations of justice in the Law, the Prophets, the ministry of Jesus, and the witness of the early Church, with particular attention to the poor, vulnerable, oppressed, and marginalized. The course will distinguish a distinctly biblical vision of justice from competing cultural and ideological frameworks while equipping students to engage contemporary issues with theological clarity, compassion, wisdom, and courage. Students will be challenged to understand justice not simply as a social concern, but as an essential expression of faithful discipleship and participation in the mission of God.
Apologetics
Apologetics equips students to understand, articulate, and thoughtfully defend the Christian faith in an increasingly complex and skeptical culture. Grounded in Scripture and historic Christian orthodoxy, the course will examine the intellectual credibility of Christianity while addressing common questions concerning the existence of God, the reliability and authority of Scripture, the resurrection of Jesus, suffering and evil, religious pluralism, and contemporary objections to Christian belief. Students will learn not only how to present sound arguments, but also how to listen carefully and engage others with humility, wisdom, and love. The goal is to form believers who are confident in the truth of the gospel and prepared to give a faithful and gracious reason for the hope that is within them.
Adoration
Adoration explores the biblical and theological foundations of worship as the Church’s response to the beauty, holiness, and worth of God. Moving beyond worship as primarily music or a congregational experience, students will examine humanity’s priestly calling to minister to the Lord through prayer, praise, thanksgiving, Scripture, surrender, and lives wholly offered to God. Particular attention will be given to the relationship between the presence of God, spiritual formation, corporate worship, and mission, emphasizing that fruitful ministry for the Lord flows from a life of ministering to the Lord. The course seeks to cultivate worshipers whose public ministry emerges from a deeply formed private life of communion, reverence, and delight in God.
